As summer weather comes to a close, so did the Putnam Ridge Annual Senior Summer picnics. The popularity of the picnics, that take place in July and August, has grown over the years and continues to be very a very successful community outreach event. Many older adults from the greater-Brewster area have been enjoying the fresh summer classic barbeque menu designed by Putnam Ridge’s award-winning chef, Carmelo Mellilli. With over 70 people in attendance at each, the first picnic was on Thursday, July 27th, and the second was on Thursday, August 31st. Here are some pictures from the fun event!

On September 18th, Chef Melilli will be featured at the United Way’s Putnam’s Best Chef event, starting at 6 PM, at the Putnam County Golf Course, 187 Hill Street, Mahopac, NY.
On September 22 and 23, from 11 AM – 4 PM, a tag sale/bake sale will take place at the 46 Mt. Ebo Road North, Brewster location. Donations will be accepted up until September 16th and proceeds will go to support the Alzheimer’s Association of Hudson Valley.
On September 28th (5:30 PM) – Night of the Arts “Paint Nite” featuring wine, dinner and (of course) painting, on September 28th at 5:30PM. As a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association, tickets are $45 and can be purchased at www.paintnite.com
