Immortalized by her depiction on the US silver dollar in 1979, Susan B. Anthony was a central figure in the women’s suffrage movement who’s arrest in 1872, and widely publicized trial, helped to inspire the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, giving women to right to vote. The Women’s Civic Club of Katonah and Putnam Ridge have joined together to bring special guest history speaker, Arthur Gottlieb, MSW, to speak about the Women’s Suffrage movement on Thursday, February 8, at 1 PM, at 71 Bedford Road Katonah, NY 10536. Putnam Ridge is the sponsor for this free program that is open to prospective members. Space is limited and no reservation is required. If interested, please contact 845-270-9706 for further information.
